Fun and Easy Fundraising Idea

Our awesome staff here at the YAI/NIPD Network have had great fundraising success through a gift wrapping program offered by Barnes & Noble. It's been so successful that we thought we'd pass it around to all of our supporters in the blogosphere.

Around holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.), Barnes & Noble allows charities to set up a table and wrap gifts for customers in exchange for donations. Barnes & Noble supplies the wrapping paper and YAI/NIPD Network staff and people with disabilities from our programs wrap the gifts, accept donations and educate customers about the wonderful work that is done at YAI. We love this program because it is available at no cost to us and 100% of the donations raised go toward the Central Park Challenge. It's also a great community activity for the people we serve and our staff to do together. As Mother's Day approaches, Central Park Challenge teams can participate in a Barnes & Noble gift wrapping event to raise extra funds. Contact the manager at your local Barnes & Noble to set up your own B&N fundraiser.

Thanks Barnes & Noble and happy wrapping!

If you're interested in the Central Park Challenge, please visit the official Website for more information. Thank you for reading our blog.

I think it's really awesome that B&N does that. It's little things like that that make the difference between whether I buy a book at B&N or at some other store!
